With military precision, the special ops forces arrived. 200x 10 to the 6th of my re-engineered T cells were delivered in the smallest medical packet I have seen to date. At exactly 1100 hours, the proceedings began. My small hospital room was filled with my mom, three medical staff, and the CAR T trial supervisor all watching as the guests of honour were delivered by IV into my body. The whole procedure took less than a few minutes.
The cells were purposely redesigned to seek out and destroy the lymphoma I have. This third time’s going to be the charm and for the next few hours, days, weeks, months, and possibly even years, the redesigned T cells will be coursing through my body with gusto as they obliterate every cancerous cell in my being. Long live the CAR T cells.
